At Home: Bedroom Updates with JYSK

Collaborative Post – all products listed at the bottom of the blog post

I don’t know about you, but when the flurry of Christmas comes to a close and a new year begins I immediately want to spring clean, and spoil the house to a few new treats. I prefer the latter mind you, spring cleaning always takes WAY longer than I think.

Our bedroom has been looking a little tired lately, mainly because I’ve not made much effort in keeping it tidy (I blame January illnesses); the chair had become a dumping ground for clothing and my bedside table home to empty mugs, books and Mini Egg wrappers. A little TLC was needed from JYSK to help me ‘feel the love’ for this space again.

To tidy up the space and to make it more inviting to relax in, I was invited to choose some products from JYSK and to also let you know about their latest Feel the Love Valentine’s Competition where you can win your very own bedroom makeover. If you don’t know the brand (see a previous blog post here with some of their lovely wares!) JYSK sell Scandinavian style furniture and homewares for the home with a focus on design led, quality and affordable products. I’m so impressed with the accessories from this brand. Who knew I could so much joy from a tray. A TRAY?! It’s pictured below by the way, and is a sage green shade that looks way more expensive than it is; great for laying out your day
time jewellery or other bedtime bits and bobs.

Alongside accessories for my bedside table, bedroom bookcase and coffee table (see the full list at the bottom of the post with lots of items currently on sale), I chose an oak coat stand (not just for hallways!) that I’m using to store the odd bag and pieces of clothing, and once again I’m a tad besotted.

Coat Stand (£40) | Basket (£5.40) | String Lights (£7) | Bottle (£2) | Vase (£5) | Tray (£3.75) | Brass tray (£4)| Candlestick holder (£2.25) | Tealight Holder (£1.50)| Throw (£17.50)*

With a few simple additions (and a few takeaways going to the Salvation Army) it’s so nice to have a more inviting bedroom. It’s quite a large attic room and this easy makeover has inspired us to finally sort one end of the room and adding a whole wall of book shelves, I can’t wait to get start saving and making this room a place to read and relax. Thanks for getting us started JYSK!

To enter to win your very own bedroom makeover visit the pinned post on the JYSK Facebook page. The competition ends Valentine’s Day, 14th of February 2018. Good luck!
