At Home: Neon, The Animal and London Calling

Ah home. Home has been a big source of comfort the past few days for various reasons. Putting those keys into our front door on Friday was a big relief, as was going back out again for steak and a bottle of red wine! Anyhoo, here’s a few pics of my shenanigans at home over the past week.

This beauty is taking pride of place on my pin board in the office. Holidays are coming.

Even if I’m only practicing lettering and making Christmas Cards,  finding something creative to do that takes your mind off things is really therapeutic…I recommend watercolours!

Words cannot describe how much this Dyson Cordless Vacuum from John Lewis has changed my life/rocked my world. Am I sad? Most probably.

Also known as ‘The Animal’, it’s made hoovering the house so easy. We have a mix of hardwood and carpeted floors throughout our four story house and this little beauty means I don’t have to lift our heavy machine from floor to floor anymore. The dust chamber is small, so I tend to empty it out after hoovering each room (you would not believe what it picks up!). If the chamber is full it can be a little difficult to remove all the contents, but other than that I can’t recommend it enough; lightweight, powerful and easy to use. Thank you John Lewis and Dyson for making my life easier! P.S It will be a godsend when we get our pooch!

London calling! Oh me, oh my. I cannot wait to venture to old London town for the OH’s birthday. We’ve never been to London together, which is just silly, so we’re going to run around like silly billy’s and whoop it up!

Neon alert! The next Christmas card DIY will be on the blog next week, including neon loveliness. Pink neon ink makes me very. Indeed it does.

Orla Kiely makes everything better, right? I’ve had this makeup/wash bag for a while and it’s very special indeed. I’m not sure how a simple print can make a person happy, but it does.

Winter has landed and mittens/fingerless gloves are back in my life. Need I say anymore?
