52 Lists: The Moments You Will Always Remember

image

  • Leaving my full time job of 6 years, in search of a new life. I was determined to not have to wait till retirement for me to enjoy my days on this planet.
  • My first day at University. I’ll never forget my parents dropping me off and settling me into the halls of residence with a crate of beer and a stack of posters to plaster my walls. I met friends for life in that first week.
  • Watching the Flaming Lips at Glastonbury Festival. In fact, most of my experiences at Glastonbury were moments I’ll always remember.
  • Christmas spent with my family as a child. Mum and Dad always made it a special time and I have the fondest memories of it; which is why I love Christmas so much today.
  • Meeting my OH. It was all kinds of complicated when we first met but I’ll always remember his happy face walking down the corridor of our shared house, 6 years ago.
  • Generous family members. I won’t name names but we’ve had lots of support over the years when we’ve really needed it and I won’t ever forget that.
  • Walking into Tumblers nightclub when I was 16 – the source of most of my music knowledge (and music snobbery).
  • The night I started my blog!
  • My sister’s wedding in Central Park, New York.
  • Meeting my little nephew and niece for the first time.

What are the moments you will always remember?

This is one of my favourite ones! I have a mix of good and bad, good being about friends and family and some less good ones related to Dad getting sick but then him recovering too to balance those out. I think the scary ones remind me to treasure the time I have rather than fear it running out 🙂

Love your list- can’t believe your sis got married in central park! That would be a dream! For me I think graduating from my MSc comes up top on my moments I will always remember 🙂

Ahhh, I completely forgot to put Glastonbury on my list! If I’d remembered, it would had to have been watching Muse back in 2010, the performance and atmosphere was just spectacular! 🙂 x
