Style: Winter Is Coming

I’m ridiculously excited about the change in weather. I want the cold, the rain (whilst I’m indoors) and the crisp air to bite at my nose as I walk to work. I WANT IT ALL. Because with the bad weather and lack of light comes all the good stuff: hats, scarves, hot chocolate, twinkly lights, DVD box set nights in (Game of Thrones awesomeness), crafting, baking and mulled wine nights at our local pub.

Instead of hunting for my usual comfy knitwear this season, I’m also on the hunt for rich colours in smart dresses that I can wear in the gallery throughout the day but also work as an outfit at night. In collaboration with New Look, I took a peek through New Look’s range of red dresses to find some burgundy inspiration and found lots more to be excited about; look at that hat for example!

Deep red and black are a perfect combination for creating a rich Winter look that can be carried from day-to-night, and with the social-season coming up (2 months till Chistmas!) easy outfits like this are a winner. Winter is coming you say? I’m all in.
