60s Crochet Throw, a Snap Purse and an original Dial Telephone!
The vintage fabric purse and the beautiful 60s crochet throw/blanket will be listed in the shop (1 week to go!). Unfortunately as soon as I saw this gorgeous mustard yellow original GPO vintage 746 Dial Telephone, we had to keep it. I am hunting for more though! I love the rotary dial. Yes it may take a wee while to dial the number but, because I’m an old romantic, it makes calling someone more fun! Nerd Alert! The bell sound is great and I like to pretend I’m Joan from Mad Men when I answer…ho hum : )

oh i love dial telephones – they are just divine, i love the clicking noise they make as they dial up the number. My pop has a few in his garage and I have not so subtly demanded my name be put on all of them so no one tries to take them 🙂
If you have an iphone, there is an app called iretrophone and its a dial phone on the screen and kinda really really awesome! check it out if you can

Drat! I have a Ipod touch so can’t take advantage of that app! I love the phone, playing with the twizzly wire whilst on a call…I’m stuck in a time warp!xx

You know, I saw that exact same phone at a Car Boot two months ago for 12 quid but I had just spent the last of my cash, so had to leave it. Gutted! I love the tactile nature of the old phones. And iphone with it’s shininess just isn’t the same.
