Home and Style Finds: Black Edit

This Home and Style Finds edit is dedicated to black. Most of the time I’ll add a little colour to my outfits using accessories but black clothing and its minimal style feels more like me. Black interiors can be chic and dramatic too; we have two rooms in the house with matt black feature walls that look elegant and really bring the space together.

If you’re coveting dark hues too here’s some high street and online finds that will add timeless style to you and your home.

From left to right:

I love the no-fuss, minimal style of this unisex Raincoat Jacket (£50) from Weekday. This A/W essential is a must-have stylish and practical purchase!

This Hygge-ish Lia Mug (£8) from Habitat is on my ‘really want but don’t need’ wish list. Made from stoneware with a matt glaze, the oversized mug is the ideal size for a cup of soup after a long winter walk. Giving me all the winter feels!

If you’re looking for a pair of Knee High Boots this season I recommend  trying Lotus Shoes for quality and reasonable prices (I love my ankle boots from Lotus). The flat Beal Knee High Boots pictured are perfection!

You can never have enough knitwear. NEVER. The black Longline Funnel Neck Jumper is in the sale from New Look, was £24.99 and now £18.74. Go!

I’m a clothes rail convert, we’ve got one in our attic bedroom that’s good for planning the next days outfits (when I can be bothered). This one (£59.99) from JYSK is much nicer though; a great addition for a spare room.

Our office is in need of storage but instead of installing a million shelves (slight exaggeration), I’m thinking a time-saving bookcase would be a better idea. I love this Atlas curved bookcase, designed in house and exclusive to Habitat (£300).

Get a head start on your New Year’s resolutions and jot your ideas in this Journal (£11) finished with gold foiled detail and lined cover. Part of the new Kin Collection, a collaboration between Katie Leamon and her Brother, Fine Artist & Poet Tom Leamon.

I really don’t need another shoulder bag but I couldn’t resist including this Buckle Leather Bag (£89) from & Other Stories. The large metal buckle detail is quite frankly, awesome.

Ooh. Now I really do like these. If you’re after a more alternative style of hoop earrings, these Rina Spiral earrings priced (£14) from Oliver Bonas are a great buy. I like how they’ve styled them with a white blouse too; minimal chic at its best.

Did you feel the change in weather this week? It’s definitely time to dig out the scarves, hats and gloves. Again from Weekday are these cute yet elegant leather mittens (£35) with a suede finish on one side.

Dog Magazine (£13) from Purplebone. Just because.

Party season is upon us and although this Velvet Dress (£89) from & Other Stories wouldn’t be a great choice for my shape, I love the symmetric V cut detail and glamorous feel. Ooh-la-la!
