Home and Style Finds #24

From left to right:

I have a serious case of trainer envy. Look, I know I can’t afford these Black Star Runner Sneakers (£169) from Rose Rankin but I can sure as hell swoon over them. They include a gold star print and silver and beige lining and insoles. I think they’re pretty much perfection. Bravo Rose Rankin, bravo.

There was once a time, in my youth, when a pair of socks given as a gift would have been frowned upon. I’m wiser now (can you tell?) and I’d love nothing more than to see a pair of these Alpaca Striped Socks (£14) from Workshop in my Christmas stocking.

Oh gosh, I love this Celebrity Faces T-shirt (£40) via Very Exclusive so much it hurts. On one row it features Patti Smith, Kate Bush, Kim Gordon and PJ Harvey. Be still my beating heart!

Add a little Hygge to your home with this stylish stoneware teapot with gold metal handle (£28) from Object. This would make a great Christmas gift for someone special, alongside a box of their favourite tea. Did I mention it has a gold metal handle? Oh my.

When winter comes around I like to go fishing for Fair Isle knits, like you do. The Fair Isle Long Sleeve Jumper from M&S can be yours for £39.50 and would be a fine catch indeed.

Planning a gathering this Halloween? Serve up your gruesome cocktails in these Black Stripe Cups (£3.95) from Violet & Percy featuring scalloped edges with a gold foil rim.

Is your diary starting to fill up with festive dates? I know mine is, so it’s never too early to look for stylish party wear. You could opt for a new jacket to revive your favourite little back dress, dig out your favourite accessories or splash out on a new party dress. My current fave is this festive forest green bodycon dress (£60) from House of Fraser.

First came my love for socks, now storage. I am the coolest, right? Ahem. Anyway, I love this Idebo Cable Management Bag (£4) from Ikea; a place to hide away your cable wires, sockets and extension cords.

I’ve heard a lot about this Hygge Book and it sounds right up my street; a guide to the Danish custom of Hygge, the everyday life philosophy for better living. Have you read it?
