From left to right:

If you’re looking to update some of your everyday essentials this autumn then look first to this Gail Bryson Holloway hand-printed tote bag (£45) from Tea and Kate. The practical slate coloured linen is a safe choice for the cooler months, complemented perfectly with ink printed spots and contrasting pink straps.

I had to share this simple and chic wool-blend Polo-neck (£39.99) from H&M; it’s an utter gem. Jumpers are probably one of my favourite items of clothing, which comes in very handy being a northern country lass. This timeless knit will see you through till March and I’m going to invest in one for sure.

It wasn’t until this year that I began wearing a watch every day, in an effort to stop using my phone for everything including checking the time. Now watches are my new favourite accessory. I especially like this rose gold Henry London Watch (£135) from F.Hinds and the contrast of the rose and the chic black face and strap.

I feel stupid and contagious…those lyrics rang out from my teenage bedroom many a time, much to my parents joy. So of course, I love this homage to one of the greatest rock bands of all time. You can pick up your Teen Spirit T-Shirt (£20) from Hero & Cape.

We’re already discussing Christmas parties at work so naturally talk will soon progress to what we’ll be wearing (I know, we’re only in September). I really love this Gold and Black Lace Sequin Layer Dress, and only (£26.99) too from Quiz Clothing which will get used at a couple of other Christmas do’s too (I like to get my money’s worth). The top half is cut like a crop top which means the skirt/dress looks high-waisted; perfect for my size 14 curves.

Last night was the first evening in a long time that I felt cold. I’m beginning to feel ready for the colder climate now and everything that comes with it. Hello open fires, red wine and scented candles (this one looks nice from H&M),

Another hat that’s got my thumbs up is this Beanie Hat (£8) from TU Clothing. Have you seen their new A/W collection? I popped into Sainsbury’s the other day for a bottle of water and wanted to leave with the whole shop! They’ve got some great A-line skirts, knits and accessories this season. Do take a look if you’re looking to update your winter wardrobe.

My hair has been looking a bit ‘meh’ of late which is why I love hat season so much! This Linen Dew Repairing Conditioner (£18) from T&Shop has been recommended but I’m not sure I can justify it quite yet. Perhaps something to go on the Christmas list?

Have you bought any seasonal bits and pieces yet?
