Wardrobe Details: Denim Dress and Handwoven Clutch Bag

UK Lifestyle Blog
Ironing will never be a priority in this house, which explains the creases on my denim dress (and all the other clothes in my wardrobe). I apologise for my slovenly ways, my friends, but the sun was shining and I wanted to get out of the house before the clouds came. I’m sure you understand. Thank the lordy my mum doesn’t read my blog.

This denim beauty was a charity shop purchase for only £4 and was one of those ‘Ooh! I’ve been wanting a denim shirt dress for ages’ moments. In fact, I went into our local Shelter shop and found four dresses that were all serious shopping basket contenders, including a Karen Millen one. Alas, I try on everything nowadays and this was the only one that passed the ‘YES’ test.  I’ll never tire of a charity shop bargain, especially when you can team it up with something a little more special like this Reeth Handwoven Clutch Bag c/o Fibre and Hide.

Part of the Fibre and Hide 2016 Spring Summer collection, the Reeth bag is designed and handmade by Geri Copsey in her Yorkshire based studio.

The reverse of the clutch bag is made with the softest Italian leather in a crisp white finish which I think works well with the orange, turquoise and navy weave – perfectly paired with denim for a more casual everyday look.

I love that the handwoven clutch bag can be dressed up and down making it really easy to wear day to night. I teamed it with the denim dress and trainers for a laid back weekend style AND I got my pins out. Ooh la-la. Equally I think it would look grand paired with a jumpsuit and heels (I’m on the look out for the perfect jumpsuit for a wedding I have coming up!).
