What a difference a week makes, huh? Like a lot of people I know, I’m feeling pretty disillusioned with the British public, government and media and I’d like to run away to the hills and stick two fingers up at life. Which is exactly what we did at the weekend.
The EU certainly has its flaws and is in no means perfect but I truly believe this was the wrong time for the UK to leave. I’m miffed off, my European friends.
Sometimes only open skies and walks in the country will do to shake off adult woes. As well as eating cake for breakfast, swearing like a sailor and watching my Twitter timeline filled with all the best GIFs (Twitter, I applaud you).
Outfit details: Dress from ASOS (old) | Jacket from Everything5Pounds.com| Trainers from local market |Bag from Matt & Nat
So where do we find the positives in all this mess? At home, and in the simple things.
I’m thankful that I have friends who are on the same page as me. I’m thankful for the wildflowers sitting on my office desk, the roof over my head and the tea in my cup. I’m thankful for my brilliant job (although I’m worried about our great film industry now), the boy by my side and the dog sat by my feet.
2016, a little hope please?
