Spotlight: Mauds House

I’ve wanted an excuse to go to Skipton, one of my old Yorkshire stomping grounds, for a while now. From Hebden Bridge it’s a tad further afield if you don’t have a car, but well worth a visit if you love independent shops, great pubs and cafes. And they’ve thrown a castle into the mix too. The show-offs. I jest, of course.

So what’s new in the Skipton? Mauds House lifestyle shop, that’s what! Full of contemporary design delights, Mauds House has recently opened its doors selling wares from Denmark and The Netherlands, whilst predominately supporting UK designers/makers.

Hattie Crook is the owner and her army of contemporary wares fill her bricks and mortar premises in Skipton, and online too. Here’s a small collection of my favourite homewares, accessories, stationery and print picks!
