Lately: A Brief Catch Up
Hello! I hope you are all fine and dandy on this grey day?
I’ve been feeling pretty under the weather for over a week now but I think I’m turning a corner. The head has stopped pounding at least, and I’m craving chocolate once more. This is a good sign. All will be well, folks.
I’ll do a proper catch up post soon when I’ve actually done something other than working, walking and trying to feel better. But in the meantime here’s some highlights from the week that kept me smiling:
This one. You just can’t beat that feeling when your dog greets you as you walk through the door. She’s the absolute best and makes me so happy, especially on bad weeks when I’m not feeling too great. Can you believe Polly is almost 1 year old!
Tea, sofa and blanket times post Roller Derby. Although I was feeling rough as old boots I managed to get through the session AND I was told that I’m really strong. Who knew?! I ache so much today though and can hardly move, stretch or walk without moaning. Ouch!
Sometimes flowers stop me in my tracks and these Hawthorn (I think that’s what they are?) are just peachy. I’d love plants like these in our outdoor space.
We spotted this lambing feeding bottle on our walk last week and it made me happy. I’ve loved stopping by fields and saying hello to the lambs (trying to train Polly o ignore them entirely!).
An evening spent drinking tea, eating ginger biscuits and flicking through these. Perfection.
The cinema and all its temptations! I love that we sell Poppets. I’m looking forward to seeing Money Monster, Everybody Wants Some and Kenneth Brannagh’s Romeo and Juliet Live soon.
Sweet Williams. Always a favourite at this time of year, and only £1.50. Good times!
Booking some time off to get my sh*t together. I’m planning on seeing family, writing my ass off, watching Roller Derby bouts and taking Polly on adventures. Oh and a potential trip to IKEA…uh oh!
What have you been up to lately?

Sorry to hear you’ve been feeling under the weather! – get well soon. It seems like you’ve still had quite an interesting week despite this, and my goodness those flowers really are gorgeous! If only I could keep my plants alive haha X

I’ve been under the weather too but finally have a day off to catch up with myself (and pass out on the bathroom floor apparently). So glad you feel like you’ve turned a corner and that you’ve got Polly for unconditional love and snuggles.
