Hebden Bridge

Hebden-Bridge3

Hello! I’m popping in today with a quick blog post about my home town of Hebden Bridge. I’ve been meaning to write a post detailing all the shops and businesses that have reopened so far since the December floods but life, as always, got in the way.

However, we came back from Australia this week with news of lots of events and shops reopening this weekend so I thought I’d share a very quick post of what’s happening, in case any of my northern chums want to stop by or share  that Hebden Bridge is well and truly open for business! I’ll share a proper blog post soon, I promise.

First up, Hebden Bridge Picture House is now fully open – hurrah! I know I am biased but it really is a fantastic venue to watch mainstream & indie films, events and live broadcasts. I still get goosebumps when I walk in the auditorium, which has been refitted with shiny new seats after the floods. Look how grand it looks!

Muse-Music

In time for Record Store Day, Muse Music and Love Cafe has now reopened. I’m so pleased and I will be picking up the new PJ Harvey record on Saturday! Their neighbours, 2 Tone Comics, are having a grand re-opening on Saturday 7th May which also happens to be Free Comic Book Day!

Want to treat yourself to a piece of contemporary jewellery? Element Jewellery are having their grand reopening on Saturday and Sunday this weekend and to celebrate are offering 10% off all jewellery. Oh, and pink fizz. Hurrah!

Hebden Bridge WI Rag Market

For all the crafty and creative types, head to the Hebden Bridge WI Rag Market at the Town Hall on Saturday and fill your tote bag with ALL the fabric!

Lucy & the Caterpillar Vintage Boutique reopens on Saturday but in a new location at the bottom of Bridge Mill, next to Innovation. Vintage lovers, you will not be disappointed.

There are many more businesses that have reopened since the floods which I’ll post about soon but there’s still lots  that have yet to reopen their doors (some have sadly closed entirely). Every person that visits our town counts. Spread the word!
