Home and Style Finds #8

home and style findsAutumn is naughty. It conjures up covetable goodies that I can’t afford that I don’t actually need. But that doesn’t mean I can’t share my finds on the blog instead. Here goes…

| I’ve found myself drawn back to black this year, opting for colourful accessories to add personality to my everyday outfits, so it was no surprise that I’m coveting black coats this season. This perfectly tailored Coat (£79.99) from H&M is exactly what I’ve been looking for; it’s simple, chic, and a great price too.

| Polka dots are always in season so go conquer this beautiful Jumper (£17.50) from Dorothy Perkins, now in the sale!

| One thing I will be treating myself to very soon is a 2016 diary. As I work months in advance for work, this is something I actually do need but I can’t justify spending £30 on one…yes I’m talking to you Kate Spade Diary from Quill London. Oh, but isn’t she pretty?

| I seem to be constantly washing my hands ever since we got Polly which means they are bone-dry most of the time. That’s a lot of hand cream, folks. I love my faithful Vaseline cream but of course I’m a sucker for luxurious numbers like the wild rose Hand Cream (£15.50) from S220.

There’s some great additions to the Autumn/Winter homeware collections from George at Asda. This chic and affordable monogrammed Mug (£2.50) would make a great gift paired with some posh hot chocolate. Mmm…

| Or perhaps team the mug with a set of these marble-effect Coasters (£2.99) from H&M?

Speaking of which, H&M do great scarfs. I’ve got several that have lasted for years and still wash really well. Normally I’m a fan of big scarfs (that wrap around my neck at least three times), but this Checked Scarf (£7.99) is peachy too. It would look great with the black coat above and my new K-Swiss trainers. See how I talk myself into things? Justified.

| Sometimes a product stands out so much it’s as if it was made for me. Let me introduce you to the Port in a Storm Nightshirt (£69) from Yawn. Check out the website to see the print close up. I have a thing about lighthouses you see, always have, always will. As I mentioned many times on the blog, I wanted to be a lighthouse keeper when I was a kid, and even now pretend I’m sleeping in one to help me get off to sleep. Strange, I know. But very comforting. I love this print, I love this brand.

| I was sad to hear that Let it Reign is closing. Please do take a look at their closing down sale, great for picking up early Christmas gifts. I love the Brushstroke Storage Bags (from £2.50), practical and stylish too.
