Wardrobe Details: Weekend Style With Freemans

uk fashion lifestyle blog

Going for a potter in town with my buddy Julia, followed by a jaunt around the park with Polly and the OH felt AMAZING yesterday. I’ve been going stir-crazy this week while Polly has been poorly, and I think she’s had enough of the same four walls too. Turns out, all we needed was a little fresh air, to see a friendly face or two and to enjoy some of the simple things.

The day was made even better as I had a new outfit to trial out c/o Freemans in celebration of their new TV ad and giveaway. The TV ad is all about celebrating the free time in your life so as well as the new outfit they treated me to some pampering goodies to enjoy a night in. I haven’t had chance to use them yet as we’ve been so busy looking after Polly and had no time to indulge in proper ‘me time’ but I’m booking in a night off next week which is something to look forward to!

All this talk of free time did get me thinking of all the relaxing things I love to do which cost nothing. There’s quite a lot to be happy about; taking photographs, walking Polly, listening to old tunes on my iPod, going to the cinema (work benefits!), blogging, grooming Polly, writing lists, drinking tea in the garden, chats with friends, planning holidays, meeting like-minded people, roller derby training (it was free to begin with!), positive people, trimming my fringe, reading books in my collection that have been gathering dust, hearing the OH’s keys open the front door, Polly’s happy face when she runs over to me when called, Christmas movies, clean bed linen, watching the seasons change and so much more.

As for the outfit, I’m really impressed with my K-Swiss Trainers in white and silver. For laid-back weekend style they fit the bill perfectly, and I’ve got a relaxed fit black dress that I think they’ll look great with too for days when I want to look a tad more feminine and smart. The Arizona Stretch High Waist Jeans are such a good fit. I love denim but I do find it hard to get the correct fit as I need high-waisted jeans that are short in the leg too; these are spot on.

For transitional days I’ve started wearing jumpers rather than a winter coat, and I thought this sunshine yellow jumper would make a great weekend jumper to take away the autumnal nip in the air. Anything that adds a little cheer and colour to a casual outfit gets the thumbs up from me; it’s also available in pink!

What are your favourite free things to do?

P.S Can you beleive it’s Autumn already?!
