Share The Positive Moments
As I mentioned last month, it’s always a delight when I read through your #sharethepositive moments and images on Instagram. Thank you so much for taking part and please do keep on capturing your happy, joyful and positive days, it’s always inspiring! Today I thought I’d share some of the happy in my life right now…
Polly | When you’ve had little sleep it’s easy to focus on all the annoying things that a puppy gets up to rather than the positives. I need to keep reminding myself how brilliantly she’s doing and that we’re doing a good job too. Watching her teeth chatter with excitement before she tastes a new food gets me every single time. Be still my beating heart, Polly Jean.
Roller Derby Training | I have never hurt from exercise as much as I do today, after Tuesday’s roller derby training. Although I wanted to cry and fall on a heap on the floor during the 2 hour training session, I made it to the end and felt pretty chuffed with myself. I no longer give a hoot about falling over, I love doing obstacle maneuvers (even if I did miss a few cones) and I’m so excited that I’ve found a sport that I love. Even though my whole body feels broken and I couldn’t lift myself from bed today. Ahem.
Work | I love my jobs (cinema and freelance work). To be able to say that and not dread Monday is all I ever wanted and all I strive for in the future. Long may it prosper. P.S Go see Diary of a Teenage Girl!
Earphones c/o Sudio
Music | I forgot my earphones when I went to Paris last month and felt absolutely lost without listening to music everyday, so I’ve been making up for lost time while on walks with Polly pup. As mentioned before, I love the design of my Sudio Earphones made in Sweden; I chose the elegant Klang earphones featuring white and gold detail which also include 4 extra sleeves and a leather holder to keep them clean and protected.
There’s no sign of style over substance here; the audio quality is excellent and they fit my small ears perfectly; an all-round great listening experience. If you can’t be without your music/podcasts too and are looking out for a new pair of earphones, Sudio are also offering my readers a 15% discount on all orders. Simply add mathildeheartmanech at the checkout!
Christmas | Sod it. It’s only 3 months away and I love it. To be fair I’m more excited about Autumn landing first before the mayhem of Christmas arrives but I’m beginning to feel excited about the festive season and love hearing what friends and family have planned. Are you making plans yet? Oh Polly, you’re not going to know what’s hit you (scours internet for Christmas pudding costumes).
Walking | Polly has had all her injections and we’ve started going for walks, albeit short walks only. I can’t wait to start exploring further afield and to feel confident with her off the leash; she’s still learning recall and is far too distracted with sounds and smells at the moment. Nevertheless I’ve really been enjoying tottering up the hill and back to stretch both our legs.
Great Blogs | I’ve simply not had the time to read blogs lately, something that I’m keen to rectify asap. However I did catch a couple of posts in the early hours (Polly better soon learn that 5-6am starts are not welcome in our house). Anyhoo, I digress. The posts I read came from Margot & Barbara. I love her blog, her honest writing style and positive spirit. Go read, if you haven’t already!
Going through Paris photographs | I’m definitely getting older as I much prefer bringing home lots of photographs from a holiday rather than souvenirs. Although I did buy a small brooch from Des Petits Hauts for 5 euros (first photo), but I think I can be forgiven for that. I’ll share more photographs of chic Paris on the blog soon.
Flowers | Finally, it might be something to do with the Floating Flower Garden at Maison & Objet but I’m trying to appreciate and seek out blooms while they are still here.

Oh, those puppy sleep deprived moments. I don’t miss them but I do miss that puppy enthusiasm and joy. And the cuddles. There is nothing like a puppy cuddle. x

So it’s just like having children then having a puppy? Good thing they are so darned cute and I hear the loyalty and genuine love is amazing.

Polly is just so adorable! I’m also excited for autumn and Christmas, our new house was in post-move chaos last December so we didn’t even put up a tree and I can’t wait to make up for that this year. My #sharethepositive for today is completing a tough workout and noticing an improvement on last week, then celebrating with a chocolate browine!

Hello! Thank you so much for mentioning my blog in this gorgeous round up of loveliness. I’m so flattered to be included! I have lots of puppy and Paris envy going on now. And cannot wait to see your little bundle in a Christmas Pudding outfit! Although it’s going to be different, I’m very much looking forward to Christmas this year too – and the inevitable day of Lego building that comes with it at my house! x

Very welcome! Your blog is a breath of fresh air xx

I might have maybe possibly bought materials for Christmas DIYs already. Not that I’m excited or anything!
Love this post, so many good moments. Thanks for sharing with us.
