Hebden Bridge to Oxenhope Via Lumb Falls

Withnail

It seems all I really need to put a smile on my face is a picnic-filled rucksack, good company and a camera. It’s official, we have caught the great outdoors bug. I just hope the weather is kind to us this weekend so we can enjoy another adventure into the hills. Why so rainy, UK?

The other week we walked from Hebden Bridge to the neighbouring village of Oxenhope, where The Bay Horse Inn awaits, via Lumb Falls where you can try a spot of wild swimming too. It was a pretty easy walk considering we followed most of Haworth Old Road (starting at Peckett Well) to our destination and it was pretty secluded too. We didn’t bump into one person until we reached Oxenhope village which meant I could practice my Withnail impressions with ease and confidence (see above). It’s the simple things, my friends.

Good ol’ Yorkshire looking mighty fine. Oh and we have some news! Expect more outdoor adventures on the blog soon as we’re getting a puppy! Our Golden Retriever puppy (name nearly decided) will be coming home next month. We’re very excited and a little bit nervous but it was only a matter of time once we had our own home. And that’s another thing, can you believe we’ve been living here for almost a year? Time, why so fleeting?

Have you been enjoying the great outdoors much?

P.S Any puppy training tips or sites you can direct me too?
