Lately: Haworth, Hawksbys and Bronte Parsonage
Happy June y’all! I have a feeling the summer months will fly by, whatever the weather, so this month I’m going to try to take advantage of any outdoor and sunny time I can find. I would like to declare I am officially in summer mode…weather take note.
It’s been a pretty busy week. From inspiring trips to Haworth and spending time at home with the OH to wedding party dancing and Sunday lunch gatherings. It’s all been pretty darn lovely. On the downside, my feet and body still hurt from dancing, the house is unkempt, and I’ve yet to watch the latest Game of Thrones episode. Oh the drama!
Back to Haworth. Haworth is only a short bus ride over from Hebden Bridge so I visit frequently, when I’m in the mood for pottering (which is pretty much all the time). Last week I was visiting my friend Julia who was doing a drop-in printmaking workshop at the Bronte Parsonage, so I thought I’d pop by for some printing fun!
We ventured to Cobbles and Clay afterwards for coffee and a slice of AMAZING carrot cake then popped into Hawksbys for a potter and chat with its owner Claire and her gorgeous dog, Peggy.
This gallery of delights is a beautifully curated space featuring talented makers and designers from across the UK. Lover of contemporary art, sculpture, stationery, jewellery, ceramics and textiles? Then this place is for you. Plus you will get to walk on the most amazing floor I’ve ever seen (yes, these things excite me).
The displays at Hawksbys are as inspiring as the artists exhibiting there. Doesn’t it look dandy?
Hawksbys website is coming soon (I have a feeling it’s going to be pretty special – I love their branding) but in the meantime, if you are planning a trip to Haworth, you can catch them on Facebook and Twitter.
What have you been up to lately? Ever visited Haworth?

I have only ever visited Haworth , strangely in November. Bbrrrrrrrr! I have not been for a couple of years so I might try and persuade my other half to take me over the summer. 🙂 Hawksbys looks interesting. Gorgeous doggy 🙂 I have been to the Cobbles and Clay cafe. 🙂
