52 Lists: Things That Make Me Happy

image

I’m starting the 52 Lists series rather late this year (any excuse to write more lists!) but this time I’ll be writing my own list themes for the rest of the year, and today it’s all about the things that make me happy.

P.S  join in if you fancy, and don’t forget to share your post or lists in the comments below!

1. People with positive attitudes. There are people in my life who constantly inspire me to be a positive person, and to always have a grateful attitude. No matter what they go through, they always manage to find ways to be upbeat, kind, generous and positive. As the years go by I only want to surround myself with people like this. Life’s too short.
2. Shiny shoes.
3. Food gifts. Our neighbours gave me a dozen local laid eggs for my birthday. This made me ridiculously happy all week!
4. Walks in spring sunshine.
5. Browsing in book or record shops.
6. Hearing the OH laugh. This will make him cringe but it fills my heart with glee when I see him happy.
7. WhatsApp messages from my uni friends. Those girls.
8. Wearing dungarees.
9. Garden centres.
10. Afternoons spent watching adventure films like Indiana Jones (get well soon Harrison Ford!).
11. Sandwiches cut into quarters. Always a favourite.
12. My converse trainers.
13. Hearing the 20th Century Fox or Pearl & Dean theme music before a film starts (goosebumps).
14. Going out for breakfast.
15. The moment you take something you’ve baked out of the oven.
16. Putting my roller skates on.
17. The word ‘dude’.
18. Putting the world to rights over a walk with a friend.
19. Holding a hot mug of tea in the garden when it’s cold outside.
20. Having the house filled with plants and flowers.
21. Writing cinema and freelance writing ideas in my notebook.
22. Buying a new handwash for the bathroom/kitchen.
23. Turning the TV on to find an amazing film is about to start.
24. Drinking tea from a flask.
25. Making the bed.
26. Cottage pie served in a bowl.
27. Sowing seeds.
