Table Decor Ideas

On Christmas day we’ll be enjoying our dinner with family in the afternoon, which means we have the morning at our house to have breakfast, open gifts and listen to Christmas songs. Eep! We usually start the morning with Eggs Benedict and Bucks Fizz, followed by good coffee and a few Christmas chocolates. This year, and to celebrate our new home, I’m going to set the table too.

To help people get inspired to decorate their Christmas table, Yorkshire dwelling Furniture Choice have launched a blogger competition giving away a new Dining Table Set ready for entertaining. We don’t have a dining table (I’m using my desk here!) so I was really keen to enter this one. All of the entries will be shared on Furniture Choice site, which I’ll link to soon. Please wish me luck!

My ‘Merry and Bright’ table consists of Cable and Cotton lights to add warmth, character and colour, handmade crackers using the wrap I made at the Christmas craft workshop last week, tea lights wrapped in washi tape (just because), pegs securing personalised stars onto wine glasses (you could add guests names to the stars). Finally, to add colour and cheer I decorated the table with candy canes and cocktail umbrellas!

Lisa, that’s gorgeous! So cheerful and festive, but modern. I hope you win!!

We are on our tod for Christmas this year as I am working right in the middle of Christmas day, so it’ll be a table for two and maybe a glass of Buck’s Fizz for us in the morning also. 🙂
