- The large windows bringing in lots of lovely light
- The comforting sound of passing trains in the distance
- Our open fire
- The extra space we now have so we can have people over to stay
- Its age – over 120 years old
- The period features
- Our big bath
- The red brick wall in the kitchen
- The attic bedroom
- View from the garden looking out onto the valley
- A great office for me to work in/play with washi tape
- Opening the back door in the morning to let the cold air wake me up
- Our cheery neighbours
- The fact that it already feels like our forever home

Oh that sounds fantastic. Our home is not our forever home (we are renting and it is impractical long term) but I love that I can see the Water of Leith if I tilt my head out the windows, that it is cosy in the winter, that it is high up with fantastic views, that I can see the fireworks over the castle and that it is spacious and pretty and has two bathrooms and a dishwasher. 🙂
