Wish List: Le Tour Inspired!

Has anyone else spotted a few bicycles out and about on Yorkshire’s bunting-lined streets the past few days? Yes? Me too! There must be something going on, don’t you think?

Hooray for Le Tour! Hebden Bridge was an absolute delight today and most of the town (apart from a few grumbly so-and-so’s) have made so much effort to celebrate the Tour De France and Yorkshire’s participation in it. Sunday is the big day for us, and we’re hoping for a little sunshine to grace the stage 2 route of Grand Départ, which passes our house! I’ll be working but I’m making sure the OH has the camera to take some shots of the cyclists and hopefully the sun will still be shining when I get home for a few French inspired nibbles.

Working out my outfits for the weekend (because that’s what you do when the TDF comes to town), I realise I own no yellow in my wardrobe – oh the horror. So, I’ve teamed up with Joules to celebrate all the sunshiny hues they have to offer. Plus they have a pretty mighty sale on this weekend too – ooh la-la!

Besides the flattering floral dresses Joules often tempt us with, I’ve fallen for the simple golden cardigan and the blue and yellow pumps to accessorise with weekend style jeans and a Breton top. And because we live in the UK, and it rains at the drop of a hat, this cheery raincoat in sunflower yellow ticks all the practical and pretty boxes.

Are you wearing anything Le Tour inspired this weekend? So far I’ve seen people dressed in yellow, red and white polka dots and lots of French inspired fancy dress too (twirling of moustaches!).

Happy weekend y’all!
