Made! DIY Greeting Card Using Cocktail Umbrellas and Washi Tape
I know, I know, more washi tape greeting cards. I just love using things I already own to make simple and fun DIYs, and I have a lot of washi tape my friends!
These celebration cards would make a great party invitation, birthday or congratulations card and are really simple to make.
To make a DIY Greeting Card you will need:
Washi tape
Card stock
Scissors
Cocktail umbrellas
Glue
Letter stamps and ink (I bought mine from Ebay)
Instructions:
- Cut out 6 strips of washi tape for the width of you card. You can use a variety of designs or simply choose one.
- Carefully stick the tape down to create horizontal stripes. I didn’t bother measuring or anything. Simply use my photographs as a guideline.
- Open your cocktail umbrella a little and add a touch of glue on the back. Secure to the card leaving space to add text below the umbrella. You could also attach the umbrella with washi tape so it can be used after.
- Stamp or write your message in the white space available. Done! Go celebrate with a cocktail!
