Lately: Spring Clean, Sunshine and Shrewsbury
As another day brings us sunshine, I thought I’d quickly take some pictures of my bedside table, after its makeover. It’s a much nicer space now with just a few books on the bottom shelf (book shelf) and a handful of magazines.
This print is by Mrs Eliot Books which I won in a giveaway a year ago! I’ve finally found a nice space for it.
The OH bought me this stunning Orla Kiely sugar pot for my birthday. I’m using it to store my pills in – lovely piece of design to wake up to!
Hello my pretty!
Hand cream and aromatherapy oil to help me sleep well!
This Dynamo Table lamp was sent to me c/o Lighting Majestic who also included me in a feature about their favourite interior design blogs, which is always nice! The lamp is a stunner and I love how the retro design fits with my Orla Kiely ceramic pot.
A shelf for my jewellery box and tile coaster for drinks.
Magazines I’m currently reading and a few books that I could happily read again.
Yup, it is.
Beside the bedside goodness we went to Shrewsbury at the weekend and had the BEST time. I have no idea why I haven’t been there before!
Lots of medieval goodness!
Vintage car swoon
Blue skies
Look! People walking with no coats on!
Striping it up!
More on our Shrewsbury weekend adventure soon! Oh and say hello to my new birthday brogues, aren’t they pretty?
T’ra for now, folks!

This is such a cheerful post! I’ve been spring cleaning and rejigging the flat this week too, and the sunshine has certainly helped! That Orla kiely pot is beautiful!
Lisa
Thank you! Yes, the sunshine has certainly put a spring in my step house work wise – the sun shows up all the dust and filthy windows! X

Lovely Orla Kiely goodies and bedside nook. Shrewsbury looks familiar, I think I’ve been there when I was living down south aka another lifetime!

Thanks lovely. It’s a awesome place, defo recommend going back. Lots of vintage and charity shop goodness coupled with amazing architecture and idyllic views!

I’m a huge fan of the Tisserand Sweet Dreams Aromatherapy roller ball as well! Tried the This Works sleep balm but didn’t rate it in comparison. Have you tried any others in the Tisserand aromatherapy range?

No I haven’t. Would definitely like to try though. I was intending to buy This Works sleep balm but Boots had none in stock. Was told to try Tisserand instead – happy I did! x

I’m using the This Works sleep balm at the moment, and I don’t rate it half as much as Tisserand. The scent doesn’t have the same staying power, plus the balm is quite hard to get out of the tub in comparison to the roller ball. I recommend stick with Tisserand! I will certainly be going back to it when I finish the balm. x
Lisa
Thanks Scarlett, Tisserand it is!

I love your lamp. I now want one even though we have perfectly lovely ones. I also need to sort out the mess that is my bedside table. That is planned for Easter weekend – oh the glamour!

Love the Orla Kielty pot! Your bedside table looks so tranquil and inviting. I seem to have everyone else’s rubbish dumped on mine, as well as loads of dust. I’m not sure what my forte is, but apparently housekeeping isn’t it!
Lisa
Let’s see how long mine lasts! Tea cups do pile up quite quickly on it 😉
