What a lovely weekend that was! As well as working at the gallery, we managed to make the most of our time and planned our NYE trip to Bamburgh in Northumberland (consolation prize for not getting Glastonbury tickets); I cannot wait.

I first went on holiday to Bamburgh/Seahouses when I was a baby; camping with my brave parents. We then returned EVERY year up until I was a moody teenager. Then I took my friends there, then my boyfriend, and now I’m bringing my sister and brother-in-law too. Everyone must go! I also thought what better way to start the New Year, but by the seaside?

Hmm, what else? We went for a potter in our local neighbourhood, seeking out blue skies amidst the rain and I came home with some tasty Italian biscuits and coffee beans from our local deli. Double treat!

Wht’s this beauty? I’ve been using my satchel every day since receiving it from the lovely folk at Nica. It is perfect and I’ve already had lots of compliments. I love the cut out pattern and the size is ideal for all my bits and bobs. I can even fit my Chromebook in it so it doubles up as a laptop case too. Do you like?

I prefer to style satchel handbags with dresses (preferably tea dress/fit and flare) and with my new Geek Shoes I feel it completes the scholar look quite nicely. I’m so pleased with it.

Finally, we saw a great band at The Trades Club on Friday night called Hookworms; psychedelic awesomeness. I’ve definitely got my gig mojo back and can’t wait for new bands to brighten my nights!
