Autumn Style: 5 Tunic Dresses

Today I wore my boots and a warm coat for the first time in months and I have to admit it felt blooming glorious, the rain didn’t bother me one jot. Yes, I am that annoying person. I much prefer Autumn/Winter style to any other and I’m excited to wear the whole caboodle again including scarves, gloves, knee-high boots, thick tights and cardigans.

Whilst travelling home from Cambridgeshire this weekend I bookmarked some key pieces for my Autumnal wardrobe to pair nicely with what I already own. One of those items is the tunic dress. Ah, roomy dresses please me so (especially if they have pockets!).

Tunics make an ideal feminine outfit ready and waiting for Autumnal walks and jaunts around town. The flattering shape is a great alternative to the usual tea dresses I wear and is suitably comfortable at the same time (make room for Winter puddings!). Teamed with a chunky knit, if you’re still braving the weather without a coat, and tights and you have the ideal day outfit. I bagsy the stripey one from Joules!

Do you wear tunic dresses?

I *love* a good tunic! I’m trying to find a new one for autumn. I like these a lot. Am trying to find a burgundy one to wear over black skinny jeans for work but struggling so far too find the right shape/length! I will though!

I REALLY like the bird print tunic! It looks like my ‘no shopping for the next two paychecks’ is going out of the window. I can’t bear to think about knitted tunics just yet, though. Bring back the sun and floaty dresses!
