There are many benefits that come with owning a leather sofa; being able to wipe it clean easily (I’m a tea spiller), seeing and feeling it age (I’m a fan of folds and creases), having a piece of furniture with longevity, and it being cool in the Summer and warm in the Winter. Having said that, over the past few very hot weeks we have had a throw or two on hand to stop ourselves sticking to it. If you’re thinking, “Wha? She crazy. Who uses throws in the Summer?” I do! We have a few crochet blankets that I’ve picked up over the years for our sofa and arm chair (one day I will make one!) and also, a couple of National Trust throws which are my favourite (and really good value at £30). I have been coveting the Avoca throws for a while now for their bright and cheery check design – gorgeous!
