Picnic Wish List & Top Withens, Haworth

Top Withens in Haworth, West Yorkshire has been named one of the best picnic spots in the UK by the team behind National Picnic Week – hurrah! This pleases me greatly as I live 20 minutes away from the scenic spot plus the Top Withens Farmhouse is supposedly the inspiration for the location of the Earnshaw family house in Wuthering Heights, my favourite novel. It’s a stunning walk, via the Bronte falls, and you can finish your day off nicely with a well deserved pint in Haworth village. I recommend the food and beer at Gasgoine’s, at the top of the main street (plans the next trip).

To celebrate National Picnic week I thought I’d compile a wee wish list of all the things I’d like for a perfect picnic. To be honest though, give me a blanket, a box full of triangular sandwiches, a flask and I’m happy! All we need now is a little sunshine…

I keep reminding myself that the National Trust do great blankets. I aim to stock up on them for next winter as well as for picnics! Love your selection and those wine glass holders are a great idea!

They do! I have two of the cheaper ones (£12) which are great for picnics, although a little itchy. The other ones (around £30) are super soft – great for throws in the house and a lot less cheaper than in other shops.

    Lovely wishlist!
Great minds think alike as I’ve done a similar post for National Picnic Week as well! 🙂

Hoping to try and get out one evening to have a picnic but if the weather stays rotten, it’ll have to be an indoor picnic instead! 🙂 x
