Giveaway: Yorkshire Provender Soup

*** COMPETITION CLOSED*** Congratulations no.4 aka Rebecca Jackson!

I’ve been partaking in a not-so-pleasant Winter ritual over the past few days comprising of a box of Boots 2 Ply Tissues, Lemsip Max and a trusty dressing gown. Oh the common cold, how I dislike you so. ‘Make me souppppppp!’ I may have whispered at every available opportunity. A thousand apologies to my lovely OH. Ahem.

Thankfully I had a few of these seasonal soups to sample, courtesy of  Yorkshire Provender – ideal for those Wintry days when all is lost. Lovingly made in their happy North Yorkshire kitchen, the soups include only the freshest seasonal vegetables, with most being sourced from local farms.

Mine is to, if it snows, open the curtains really early in the morning and watch the snow falling as it gets light. In fact, I’m doing this right now! I love snow. Hope you feel better soon!

Mine’s the same as yours – the movies have to be old and preferably black and white! and there has to be a fire lit!

I light my log burner and usually snuggle up on the sofa with my hubbies kindle or watching tv with a cup of hot chocolate and marshmallows on top.

My favourite Winter ritual is when it’s a Sunday and just too cold, dark and wet to venture outside, to loll around in my PJ’s all day reading books and blogs and ideally drinking hot chocolate.

I turn into a little kid as soon as there’s any sign of snow so it’s got to be going for a long walk in the snow :)

I lie to cosy up the house for when everyone comes home from school/work, light the wood stove and some candles, fairy lights, warm drinks and homemade snacks.

Mine is baking bread every weekend. With it being so cold, I’m spending a lot more time indoors which allows me time to do this! Fills the house with such beautiful scents!

One of my favourite winterisms is a loooooooooooong hot bath with lots of bubbles and a good book. I like to keep topping it up so I can stay in there for a couple of hours and thaw out after a freezing commute home waiting at bus stops and totally relax and forget about the stresses and strains of the day. Perfection.
