Bookmarked: Ask Her Friends

There’s a new website on the block dedicated to make both men and women happy. Sound interesting? Ask Her Friends is designed for the man in your life in helping him find the perfect gift for the woman in his – whether that be a girlfriend, wife, mum, sister, niece or grandma. They scour the internet to make the gift-giving experience a confident and easy one for you.

With Christmas just around the corner, I think the idea itself is ace. Pennies are hard to come by these days so instead of buying someone a gift you’re not sure they’ll like, what better than to spend your money wisely on a wanted gift? It’s a no-brainer really. So how does it work?

Using the Idea Map, and answering some simple questions regarding the persons interests and budget, Ask Her Friends can then select the ideal gift from a selection of quality brands that have already been given the thumbs up by real women (with great taste). You can also create an advice list from the gifts selected, email it to her friends to comment on thus leaving the final decision in your capable hands.

Working with a variety of high street and boutique brands, Ask Her Friends ensure there is a unique range of quality gifts to suit every taste and budget. For example, the gifts selected for me were spot on – a Tatty Devine Gilbert & George Gin Necklace, A Feather Pen Writing Set and a Personalised Wraparound Leather Journal. No, I didn’t write ‘gin drinking blogger’ in the specifics. Ahem.

As a couple, we usually give each other clues of what we’d like for Birthdays and Christmas. He’s very good at making mix tapes (joy!) and he bought me my gorgeous bike (that I don’t ride enough – sigh). However, if I’m short of ideas I’ll definitely be suggesting the user-friendly website to the OH and other people. Oh and on a final note, although Ask Her Friends is targeted towards men, I think it can be used for anyone who needs a little inspiration in buying gifts for women. I have a few hard-to-buy-for ladies in my life including my lovely mother. I ask you this, what do you get for a cleaning obsessed/Sean Bean-loving mum?

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post but all opinions are my own. The website is ace!
