Feeling rough? Pin!
I’m still not there yet. Still not feeling great or like myself. But I have medication, a positive attitude and a very patient OH (who is beginning to feel a bit rotten too, oops!).
You can’t really control feeling rubbish, can you? So when I’m feeling OK, I’m getting on with nice stuff and when I’m feeling rough, I sleep, take tablets and rest. Luckily I’m able to work on a few things from home and I think I’ll be OK working in the shop over the next few days. Today though, I’m looking after myself which includes the following…
- Honey on toast with a cup of tea.
- Listening to Al Green whilst reading blogs. He soothes my achy brain.
- List making. I only write ‘nice things’ lists now, some good advice from a Twitter follower.
- Write a blog post (gotta keep my brain ticking over).
- Making a roast chicken dinner. Food for the soul (appetite is fine!).
- A small nap.
- Bath + candle + aromatic bubble bath.
- Light candles in the house, prepare snacks, and watch a film. In my case, snuggled up with the OH.
Hmm, have I missed anything? Oh yeah, some obligatory ‘feel good’ images via Pinterest (Click on images for source) that have kept me going of late…
I adore this. A beautiful bench, shelf and baskets decorated with curios to make your heart go POP!
This outfit pleases me so much. So easy, so comfortable yet so chic and stylish (to me anyhoo!). I love the oversized jumper with collar showing, the coloured leggings and army-style boots. Gorgeous.
Vinyl records gladden my heart and this photo of Audrey pleases me so! The other half picked up a Small Faces limited edition record via Ebay the other day and we’re both well chuffed with it (Nerds R us).
Look! Look! I’m not the only one who decorates pegs! I’m in awe of these (it’s the small things!).

Sending get well vibes! I love a good Arran/cable knit sweater. The umpteenth reason I’m looking forward to Autumn.

Four lovely images – I think we all secretly wish we had a writing desk kept nice and tidy and covered in pretty things. Great outfit too – I know what you mean about it being comfortable and warm but also really chic. Have bookmarked it for autumnal inspiration! Hope you are feeling better soon x
