Seeds, dressing the walls and a teapot
The sun is absolutely gorgeous at the moment. The birds are singing, buds are everywhere, the days are lighter and dare I say it, but it’s quite warm out. All you need when the weather is this grand, is some uplifting music, a good book/magazine and glass of white. Perfect! Money can’t permit afternoons in the pub at the moment (Amsterdam, I blame you) but just having the sun streaming in the house, into every nook and cranny is enough isn’t it?
Here are some other mood lifters:
Presents from Lady Bloom, of Folly and Bloom, including a beautiful dish, lovely fabric, buttons and thread. There was also chocolate, alas that is now in my belly. Thank you Katy!
Look! Look! They’ve already sprouted! It’s ridiculous but it still amazes me how it works. Mmm Basil!
I’ve been dressing the walls a tad! I thought I’d use some Orla Kiely fabric that was given to me and pop them in some embroidery hoops. I like! It gives the bedroom a touch a colour, exactly what it needs!
Using vouchers from my birthday, I bought these comfy shoes to prance around in. The spring is in my step!
I saw this the other day and my eyes and heart fell in love. I want my jewellery to hang from a tea-pot spout. I need to make this happen immediately!
Lastly I’ll leave you with this video that made me laugh my head off. If you love Withnail and I (and Star Wars), I may become your new best friend. Stick with it, it’s funny as anything ; )

Isn’t it?! I was falling off my chair when I saw it! The amount of times I’ve spouted ‘Bastards! I’ll show the lot of you, I’m gonna be a starrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!’
Brilliant. : )

Ohhh those teapots on the wall…what a fab idea!! I saw a great photo recently of a garden where someone had used loads of old but lovely teapots as planters!
Lovely uplifting post!
PS really like the idea of using fabrics in hoops to brighten up the walls. Can’t beat a bit of Orla Kiely for just the right colours as well!
Lisa
I know the teapots are fab aren’t they? I might have to do some charity shop hunting for some more for planters- great idea! Xx

That is a brilliant and inspired way of using Orla Kiely fabric as instant wall art, with the help of embroidery frames! I love the look of it and the colours of the fabric are very uplifting.
Lisa
Oh thank you! X
