Hebden Bridge

Amsterdam part two

The first shop in Amsterdam that I liked the look of was the delightful, The Otherist. Look at their displays! It was closed so I took a few snaps to remind myself to come back later, perhaps on my Birthday. And we did!

Shiny, shiny tiles and walls of wonder

What a shop. It sells all sorts, from accessories, homewares and paper goods to curiosities and vintage treasures. Any shop that sells vintage globes is a big fat plus in my eyes. Alas, they wouldn’t fit in my holdall.

Anyhoo’s, we went on my birthday and the Boo bought me this ring, c’est tres jolie, non?

He then bought me some handmade chocolates from Puccini Bom Boni...delish!

Then we found Looier antiques which was the biggest antique shop I have ever been in. Like a museum with price tags and by far, the best part of our trip. We only remembered to get the camera out 5 minutes before it closed, but you get the idea!

I love that bear

Camera swoon

Love the fact there is a Boars head and a Barbie in the same display : )

Beautiful

How did Homer get in there?

Tom and Jerry!

Boo bought me that print for my birthday card. I love bikes!

I love record shops. Boo loves record shops. So when we found Record Friend we were in vinyl heaven, followed shortly after by cappucino heaven on the way to Bloemenmarkt and Waterlooplein market.

Spring! Spring! Spring!
They love globes in Amsterdam
